Rising Nigerian-born British heavyweight sensation Moses Itauma and American contender Jermaine Franklin will  tomorrow, in a clash that pairs one of the division’s most explosive young prospects with a proven, durable veteran. Itauma, at just 21 years old, while Franklin brings experience. It’s a matchup that answers a simple question early—can the hype continue, or does experience slow it down?

A former W.B.A  Continental light heavyweight champion, Peter Oboh has thrown his weight behind Itauma whom he described as an exciting youngster.

Assessing the two boxers, Oboh who was also the British  and Commonwealth light heavy weight boxing Champion said, “I don’t see this fight going  the distance because both fighters love to fight in a hurry.”

Continuing, Oboh said, “Jermaine Franklin will not want to leave the fight in the hands of the judges . While Moses Itauma winning on point is not his cup of tea. Moses Itauma number one plan will be to blow his opponent head out via punches to keep his British Nigerian tough guy image alive”

While Oboh acknowledged the danger Jermain poses, he warned Itauma “to be very  careful  and to protect himself at all the times while winning the rounds. punch hard and well with out injuring his hand while the fight is still on.”

He recalled that in Jermaine’s two previous visits to the UK, he suffered losses to Anthony Joshua and Dillian  Whyte

Oboh also spared some kind words for boxing promoter, Frank Warren of the Queens Berry Boxing Promotions whom he credited with the Moses Itauma success. “Mr. Warren influence has converted many  good fighter into world boxing champions. I congratulate him for his 45 years as a promoter and the enormous investment he has put into Itauma.”
