A presidential aspirant on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Gbenga Hashim, has appealed to all party factions to avoid actions that could undermine cohesion, emphasizing the importance of unity ahead of future elections.

Hashim stressed that the party had previously agreed to pursue a unity convention and urged all stakeholders to honor that agreement.

He also highlighted the importance of respecting the tenure of state executives, noting that state structures should remain stable and in accordance with the party’s constitution.

Hashim called on members to return to the negotiation table to work toward a unified leadership structure, stressing that unity is essential for strengthening the PDP’s credibility and electoral competitiveness.
