The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), in partnership with Bellazir Energy Ltd., has commenced a two-week intensive training programme on steel welding and fabrication in Abia State.

The training, which began on Monday, is designed to equip 50 participants with practical skills in welding and fabrication, boosting their employability and entrepreneurial prospects.

The initiative forms part of NCDMB’s drive to promote local content development in the oil and gas industry and bridge the skills gap in Nigeria’s workforce.

The programme will cover both theoretical and practical aspects of steel welding and fabrication, including safety protocols, welding techniques, and fabrication methods.

Participants are expected to gain hands-on experience and receive certification upon completion of the training.
