Enugu – The Federal University of Allied Health Sciences Enugu (FUAHSE) has assured the public that all graduates of the former Federal College of Dental Technology and Therapy Enugu are fully qualified professionals, licensed to practice in their respective fields, amid concerns over delays in National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) mobilization.

In a statement issued by the university’s Public Relations Officer, Kayode Taiwo, the management explained that the need for clarification arose following inquiries from former students about their eligibility for national service. The delay, the university said, is linked to its recent transition from a college to a full-fledged university, a milestone achieved through the dedication of its leadership and academic excellence of its graduates.

“The transition temporarily impacted administrative procedures, including NYSC mobilization, but the situation is now under control. Proactive steps are being taken to address all outstanding concerns,” the statement said.

FUAHSE emphasized that all alumni are fully registered and licensed by the relevant regulatory bodies, including the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria and the Dental Therapists Registration Board of Nigeria, ensuring full professional recognition and eligibility for employment across the healthcare sector.

While acknowledging the importance of timely NYSC mobilization, the university urged graduates to exercise patience, assuring that the process will be completed in due course.

The statement concluded by reaffirming FUAHSE’s commitment to maintaining high standards in allied health sciences education and to addressing the concerns of its students and alumni.
