Veritas Glanvills Pensions (VG Pensions) Limited has commended the National Pension Commission (PenCom) for launching an online self-service platform that simplifies the data recapture process for Retirement Savings Account (RSA) holders.

Developed in collaboration with the Pension Fund Operators Association of Nigeria (PenOp) and launched on February 1, 2026, the platform allows eligible RSA holders to update their biodata and personal records entirely online, eliminating the need to visit Pension Fund Administrator (PFA) offices.

The data recapture exercise is mandatory for RSA holders who registered before the introduction of the Enhanced Contributor Registration System (ECRS) on July 1, 2019. It also aligns with the Federal Government’s directive to synchronize records with the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) database using the National Identification Number (NIN) as the unique identifier.

PenCom noted that the digital solution prevents delays in accessing retirement benefits—including the 25% withdrawal for job loss and pension-backed residential mortgages—ensures alignment with NIMC records to reduce mismatches and errors, and protects RSAs from identity theft or duplication through NIN integration and biometric verification.

RSA holders can access the platform 24/7 at https://pensionrecap.pencom.gov.ng using any internet-enabled device with a working camera. They need their RSA PIN, NIN, and access to the portal to begin.

The process includes registration (sign up with PFA details, RSA PIN, NIN, and email; verify via OTP sent to email), data submission (complete the online form, upload supporting documents in JPEG format where required, capture a live facial image and digital signature; submit within 30 days of registration), and processing with notifications (requests reviewed within 5 days; email updates on acknowledgment, approval, or rejection with reasons).

Mr. Godson Ukpevo, OON, Managing Director/CEO of Veritas Glanvills Pensions (VG Pensions) Limited, welcomed the initiative, describing it as a major step toward efficiency.

“The self-service platform will significantly complement the efforts of Pension Fund Administrators in ensuring the effective capture and migration of RSA holders to the Enhanced Contributor Registration System (ECRS),” Ukpevo said.

He urged eligible RSA holders to take advantage of the convenient digital solution and assured that VG Pensions’ Customer Experience and IT Support teams are fully prepared to guide clients throughout the process.

The launch is expected to accelerate compliance with the data recapture mandate and enhance overall pension administration efficiency in Nigeria.
