Former presidential aspirant and convener of the YesWeFit Revolutionary Movement, Dr. Thomas-Wilson Ikubese, has urged Muslim faithfuls in the country to continue to reflect on the virtues of discipline, charity, compassion, unity and renewal of faith all of which were reflected during the Ramadan fast.

Ikubese in a statement issued in Akure, the Ondo State capital, said “l felicitate with our Muslim brothers and sisters on the successful completion of fasting, prayer and spiritual reflection in the holy month of Ramadan.

According to him ” This season anchors the virtues of thanksgiving to Allah, celebration of discipline, charity, compassion, unity and renewal of faith all of which were reflected during the Ramadan fast.

“As we celebrate today, I urge all our Muslim brothers and sisters to continue to reflect these virtues in their daily lives to the benefit of humanity and putting the love of Nigeria first and above any other consideration and be selfless in service.

“I urge our Muslim brothers and sisters who occupy political offices to use it to better the lots of the people and not as a conduit to accumulate personal wealth. May this season usher in divine blessings in every home.

He equally called on Nigerians to embrace unity, hope, and collective responsibility adding that they should reflect on the state of the nation and their individual roles in building a better future.

Ikubese appealed to Nigerians ” to uphold values of peace, unity, and progress.
