The Abiodun Isiaq Akinlade Beneficiaries Forum (AIABF) has thrown its weight behind a member of the House of Representatives, representing Yewa South/Ipokia Federal Constituency, Hon. Abiodun Isiaq Akinlade, endorsing him for the Ogun State governorship ahead of the 2027 elections.

The endorsement, announced by the forum’s Executive Council and members both in Nigeria and the diaspora, is seen as a significant boost to the growing political momentum behind Akinlade’s ambition.

In a statement made available to journalists in Abeokuta, Ogun State capital, the forum, through its Publicity Secretary, Naheemat Adesola described Akinlade as a leader distinguished by integrity, vision, and an unwavering commitment to development.

The statement was jointly signed by the Chairman of the forum, Omotosho Kazeem, an Assistant Chief Executive Officer at the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI), and the Secretary, Ogunyale Lateefat Titilope of the Raw Materials Research and Development Council.

According to the group, Akinlade’s leadership style has consistently prioritised youth welfare, professionalism, and institutional growth, earning him widespread respect among young people within the State and beyond.

The forum expressed confidence in his capacity to deliver effective governance, noting that his track record in public service reflects competence, humility, and a results-driven approach.

“Rt. Hon. Abiodun Isiaq Akinlade has consistently demonstrated integrity, vision, and an uncommon commitment to development. Under his leadership, youth welfare, professionalism, and institutional growth have remained top priorities,” the statement read.

Speaking further, the Chairman of the forum said: “His track record of service, humility, and result-oriented leadership reflects the kind of governor our state needs. We are confident that he will bring the same dedication to good governance, accountability, and people-centred development if given the mandate.”

The group also highlighted Akinlade’s role in facilitating employment opportunities for thousands of youths through federal government initiatives, describing it as a testament to his dedication to empowerment and progress.

“Notably, his commitment to empowering thousands of youths across Ogun State and Nigeria through access to Federal Government employment opportunities stands as evidence of his leadership and vision,” the statement added.

The forum therefore, called on stakeholders and opinion leaders across Ogun State to rally support for Akinlade’s governorship aspiration, stressing that his candidacy aligns with the yearnings of the people.

“We call on all stakeholders and opinion leaders in the state to support this aspiration. The candidacy of Rt. Hon. Abiodun Isiaq Akinlade represents competence, compassion, and a deep commitment to progress—values that resonate with the aspirations of our people,” the forum stated.
