A youth group in Ogun State, ‘YAYI Youth Vanguard’, has concluded plans to host an interfaith prayer session in support of the governorship ambition of Senator Solomon Adeola, ahead of the 2027 general elections in the State.

The programme, tagged Inter-Religious Prayers and Declaration of Support, is aimed at seeking divine guidance and blessings for Adeola’s gubernatorial aspiration.

In a statement made available to Vanguard in Abeokuta, Coordinator of the group, Emmanuel Ojo, disclosed that the programme will feature prominent religious leaders, including Prophet Israel Oladele, popularly known as Genesis, and Sheikh Abubakar Ojibara, who will lead prayers for the success of the lawmaker’s ambition.

According to Ojo, the prayer gathering is scheduled to hold on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at the Skating Ground, Panseke, Abeokuta, beginning at 10 a.m.

The programme will also feature a keynote address by Apostle Biodun Sanyaolu, who is expected to speak on the theme: “Consolidating a Brighter Future for Ogun Youth: Inclusiveness in Politics and Governance.”

Ojo noted that the theme aligns with Senator Adeola’s record of promoting youth inclusion and empowerment, particularly since his election to represent Ogun West Senatorial District in the National Assembly.

He added that the programme would also highlight the need to consolidate the developmental strides of the administration of Governor Dapo Abiodun in the state.

The coordinator described Adeola, as a visionary leader whose initiatives in education, healthcare and infrastructure development have continued to resonate with residents across the state.

He said the interfaith gathering is intended to commit the senator and his team into divine hands as political activities gradually gather momentum ahead of the next election cycle.

Ojo further expressed confidence that the programme would galvanize support for Adeola’s governorship bid, particularly among youths who view him as a strong contender for the state’s top seat.

He added that the prayer session is expected to attract religious leaders, youth groups and supporters from across the state, and may further shape the narrative around the senator’s emerging governorship aspiration.
