Governor Oborevwori
Warri South – The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Warri South Local Government Area has officially inaugurated its Local Government Executive Committee alongside the twelve Ward Executive Committees, a development hailed as a boost for grassroots party structures.
In a statement, Dr. Michael Tidi, immediate past Chairman of Warri South LGA and APC Chieftain, commended Hon. Richard Pessu and all the newly inaugurated executives, describing the event as a “milestone for APC in Warri South.”
He urged the leadership to strengthen party structures, foster unity, and promote development across the LGA.
“The inauguration of these executives reflects APC’s dedication to participatory leadership. I am confident that under Chairman Pessu, the party will grow stronger, more cohesive, and increasingly responsive to the needs of our people,” Dr. Tidi said.
Dr. Tidi also stressed the importance of propagating the achievements of His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, Governor of Delta State, at the grassroots, emphasizing that highlighting the administration’s successes will help consolidate support and garner substantial votes for all APC candidates in the 2027 general elections.
The inauguration, which reportedly drew prominent party leaders including the Council Chairman, Hon. Agbateyiniro Weyinmi Isaac; Vice Chairman, Hon. Kingsley Edafiadjebre; and Secretary to the Council, Hon. Ewoghanran Nunu, follows Chairman Pessu’s earlier inauguration at the State Party Secretariat in Asaba alongside his colleague, the State Party Secretary.
Observers described the event as a clear demonstration of APC’s commitment to consolidating its structures and deepening active participation at both the local government and ward levels.
