The Executive Chairman of Ajeromi-Ifelodun Local Government Area of Lagos State, Hon. Olalekan Olu Akindipe, has sworn in newly appointed officials, including the Secretary to the Local Government, supervisory councillors and special advisers, in a move aimed at strengthening governance and service delivery in the council.

The swearing-in ceremony, held on Thursday at the council secretariat, marked a significant step in the administration’s effort to reinforce local government operations and ensure effective implementation of policies and programmes at the grassroots.

Speaking at the ceremony, Akindipe said the appointments formed part of the administration’s broader commitment to enhancing governance, accountability and development within the council area.

He noted that the newly inaugurated officials were selected to support the administration in delivering on its mandate to residents, urging them to demonstrate dedication, integrity and teamwork in the discharge of their duties.

According to him, the officials are expected to work closely with the council leadership to advance developmental initiatives and improve the welfare of residents across the local government.

The chairman stressed that effective collaboration among members of the executive team was critical to achieving the administration’s goals, particularly in addressing key developmental needs within the council.

The development followed the release of a list of new supervisory councillors and special advisers by the Lagos State Government as part of efforts to strengthen governance structures across local government areas in the state.

The newly sworn-in officials are expected to support policy formulation and implementation, as well as contribute to programmes aimed at improving service delivery and socio-economic development in Ajeromi-Ifelodun.

The appointments were designed to reinforce administrative capacity and accelerate ongoing development efforts within the local government.

Further details on the roles and portfolios of the appointees are expected to be released by the council authorities.
