Oil and natural gas company, CITA Energies, has secured International Organisation for Standardisation, ISO, certifications: ISO 14001, ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 for environmental, quality, occupational health and Safety management systems.
The organisation said achieving the certification required examining its processes, strengthening governance and building systems that ensure consistency, transparency and operational integrity.
Executive Director of CITA Energies, Olaore Titilayo, said this at the award ceremony, which was held in Lagos.
According to Titilayo, it was a signal to the organisation’s regulators, partners and stakeholders that their commitment to quality, safety and environmental responsibility was institutional.
She said: “However, the certificate itself is not the achievement. The real achievement lies in the discipline required to maintain these standards every single day. ISO is not a destination; it is a continuous commitment to improvement, accountability, and operational excellence.
“What we celebrate today therefore is not just compliance with international standards, but the strengthening of an institution — one that is built on structure, professionalism, and a clear commitment to doing things the right way.
To every member of our team who contributed to this process, your dedication has made this milestone possible. Your work has laid the foundation for a stronger and more resilient organisation.
“And to our partners and stakeholders, we remain committed to building an organization that operates with integrity, reliability, and world-class standards.
“At CITA Energies, we believe that meaningful progress is never achieved in isolation. It is built through strong institutions, dedicated teams, and trusted partners who share a common commitment to excellence and responsible business practice.”
Also speaking at the event, the organisation’s Health Safety Manager, Oroge Tomiwa, said: “This is a defining milestone for us. These certifications are beyond class. They reflect our discipline and accountability and show that we are all out for success. We believe in delivering consistent quality and operational resilience. We believe that the quality of our service is what determines whether our customers will come back to us or not. As a result of that, we go the extra mile to render quality to our customers.”
Meanwhile, Managing Consultant of Finsbury Heinz Limited, Jamiu Badmus, said: “Getting an ISO certification is not easy. For many companies that claim to have these certificates, it cannot be validated online. This is not the case with CITA. The certification body that audited and issued the certificate to CITA Energies is Bluestar Management Systems and the certificate can be verified or authenticated from the website of International Accreditation Forum, IAF. First surveillance audit will take place next year, followed by second surveillance and then recertification.”
