Ado-Ekiti — A Business and Leadership Consultant, Isaac Ajisafe, has urged entrepreneurs in Ekiti State and across Nigeria to stop blaming the government and other external factors for their business challenges and instead take personal responsibility for the outcomes of their ventures.

Ajisafe made the call at the weekend in Ado-Ekiti while convening the 2026 edition of the Mindshift Conference (TMC), themed “Ownership: Dominate Your Outcomes.”

Speaking with journalists at the event, he said the conference was designed to empower participants to take control of their destinies and businesses rather than shifting blame to the government or the state of the economy.

According to him, taking responsibility enables entrepreneurs to make independent decisions and determine the direction of their future without compromise.

“I am glad the purpose of the conference has been fulfilled. The aim is to show people what they can do so they can stop blaming the government, relatives or circumstances and begin to take ownership of their journey, destiny and business,” Ajisafe said.

“The moment we stop blaming people, government, family members or circumstances, we become empowered to achieve our goals,” he added.

Also speaking at the conference, the General Overseer of House of Faith Christian Centre, Ado-Ekiti, Rev. Tunde Afe, urged entrepreneurs and students to embrace artificial intelligence, noting that many traditional courses are becoming obsolete.

He advised parents to guide their children toward emerging technological trends to remain competitive in the evolving global landscape.

In his remarks, the Rector of the Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti, Dr. John Alake, emphasised the importance of discipline and strong values in achieving success.

He noted that vision alone would not translate into success without action and a solid value system, urging entrepreneurs to cultivate discipline and a sound philosophy of life in pursuit of their goals.
