Rep. Iyawe applauds NAMA over Air Traffic Management Centre

House of Representatives member, Esosa Iyawe, Oredo Federal Constituency, has played up the positive impact the groundbreaking ceremony of the new Corporate Headquarters and Air Traffic Management Centre of the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) will have on the Nigerian aviation sector.

Speaking when he represented the Chairman, House Committee on Aviation at the historic ceremony, Engr. Esosa Iyawe, who has a strong and vocal voice in the House of Representatives, lauded the regulating authority in the aviation sector for charting a new developmental platform to rejig the sector for optimum and viable performance.

According to Eosa Iyawe, who is strongly favoured to return for a second term in the House of Representatives in next year’s general elections, “on Thursday, I had the honour of representing the Chairman, House Committee on Aviation at the historic groundbreaking ceremony of the new Corporate Headquarters and Air Traffic Management (ATM) Centre of the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport.

“I must commend the Honourable Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, SAN for his leadership and commitment to infrastructure renewal and sectoral growth”.

Speaking further, Iyawe lavished praises on NAMA for being progress driven, stating that, “I also commend the management of NAMA, industry regulators, development partners, and all other aviation stakeholders whose collaboration and dedication continue to drive progress within the sector”.

He said the House of Representatives will continue to provide necessary legislative duties and functions that will help drive the Nigerian aviation sector to the deserved goals of productivity and efficiency.

“On behalf of the Chairman, House Committee on Aviation, I conveyed our firm assurance of sustained legislative support and effective oversight to ensure that this critical project is delivered with transparency, high quality, and value for money.

“It was indeed a privilege to be part of this significant milestone for our nation’s aviation future”, added Hon Esosa Iyawe.
