A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Mr Mohammed Emiabata, has intensified political mobilization efforts in Ojo Local Government Area of Lagos State, pledging what he described as “responsive and people-centered representation” ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Mr Emiabata, a House of Representatives aspirant for Ojo Federal Constituency, made the declaration during a political gathering attended by party stakeholders and supporters in Ojo.

The event, which drew ADC leaders from across the South-West, was positioned as part of broader grassroots consultations ahead of upcoming party activities and the 2027 elections.

Addressing supporters, Emiabata stressed the need for political change in the constituency, just as he promised to prioritise transparency, accountability and development if elected.

According to him, the people of Ojo deserve representation that reflects their needs and aspirations.
He assured attendees of his commitment to inclusive governance and sustained community engagement.
Among party leaders present at the event were the ADC South-West Chairman, Mr Rahman Owokoniran; the Lagos State Chairman, Mr George Ashiru, who was represented by Ojo ADC Local Government Chairman, Adebiyi Lukman; and Pastor Kayode Jacobs.

In his remarks, Owokoniran described Emiabata’s emergence and growing support base as a strategic development for the party in Ojo Federal Constituency. He reiterated the ADC’s commitment to strengthening its grassroots structures across Lagos State.

He said: “ADC is building a credible platform for progressive Nigerians”, urging members to intensify mobilisation efforts toward securing victory in 2027.

On his part, Pastor Jacobs also called for unity within the party, emphasising the importance of building strong party structures ahead of the elections.
