The African Farmers and Cultural Organization (AFCO), under the distinguished facilitation of HRM Eze Dr. E.C. Okeke, CFR (Eze Imo), Chairman of the Imo State Council of Ndi Eze, officially announces the launch of the State-to-State, Country-to-Country One Million March for Food Security.
This global campaign serves as the grand precursor to the African Food Security Combat Summit and the Pan-African Producers and Cultural Festival.
The initiative aims to revolutionize the agricultural landscape by mobilizing ten million volunteer farm workers and shifting Africa from a consumer continent to the world’s primary food provider.
Commenting, The President of AFCO, Prince Chuks Esiole, emphasized that the march is not merely a demonstration, but a systematic shift in how Africa views its natural resources.
“Our goal is to transform the narrative of African agriculture from one of survival to one of global dominance,” said Prince Chuks Esiole, President of AFCO.
“By mobilizing ten million volunteer farm workers and integrating science into our harvests, we are ensuring that Africa no longer just grows food, but processes, brands, and exports finished products to the world.
‘’We are inviting our youth and our entertainers to lead this charge, making farming the new heartbeat of African pride and economic power.”
Redefining African Agriculture
Prince Esiole noted that the “One Million March” serves as the grand precursor to the African Food Security Combat Summit. The initiative focuses on three critical pillars:
Value Addition: Moving away from exporting raw materials and toward processing “finished products” on African soil.
Scientific Integration: Incorporating modern technology to increase yields and ensure crop longevity.
Youth & Creative Engagement: Rebranding farming to attract entertainers, content creators, and the next generation of industrial farmers.
To ensure the message reaches every corner of the continent, AFCO is calling on the creative industry. Artists, artisans, comedians, and content creators are invited to join the march.
The campaign features a unique competitive element: the state or country that demonstrates the highest level of engagement will be awarded the hosting rights for the inaugural Pan-African Producers and Cultural Festival. (PAC-FEST) $1billon fund raising festival, to empower farmers.
The 10 Million Volunteer Goal
A central objective is the registration of 10 million volunteer farm workers. These individuals will be:Trained in modern agricultural techniques and value-addition science.; Deployed to regions facing labor shortages to ensure consistent food production and Supported through fundraising efforts to empower them “from every angle.”
Kick-off and Logistics
The march is scheduled to take off in either Lagos or Imo State, expanding progressively across Africa and into the international community.
