Mikano Motors has entered into a strategic partnership with Autochek Africa in a move set to reshape vehicle discovery and financing in Nigeria’s automotive market.

The collaboration, which will be formally unveiled on February 27, 2026, at Mikano Motors’ showroom in Victoria Island, Lagos, introduces a dedicated Mikano Motors Virtual Showroom on the Autochek digital platform. Industry observers say the deal represents a significant step toward integrating automotive retail with embedded digital financing solutions.

Under the arrangement, customers will be able to browse the full range of Mikano Motors vehicles — including Changan, Maxus and other brands in its portfolio — directly on Autochek’s marketplace. Prospective buyers can compare models, explore structured automotive loans, access flexible payment plans and receive faster credit assessments within a single digital ecosystem.

The initiative effectively allows customers to begin and complete key stages of the car-buying process online, a shift designed to reduce traditional bottlenecks associated with vehicle financing and documentation.

Group Executive Director of Mikano, Joelle Haykal, described the partnership as an extension of the company’s customer-first strategy.

“Our focus has always been on delivering not just vehicles, but a complete ownership experience,” she said.

She added, “This partnership allows us to combine premium mobility with smart financing solutions, giving customers greater flexibility and control.”

Autochek Africa has built its reputation as a technology-driven automotive marketplace operating across the continent, providing data-backed credit assessments and financial services aimed at de-risking vehicle ownership.

By embedding financing directly into vehicle listings, the company seeks to streamline transactions and improve transparency in automotive commerce.

Analysts note that as digital adoption accelerates across sectors in Nigeria, the automotive industry is increasingly embracing technology to meet evolving consumer expectations.

The launch of the Mikano Motors Virtual Showroom reflects a hybrid retail model that blends physical dealership presence with digital accessibility.

For Mikano Motors, a division of Mikano International, the partnership strengthens its push toward innovation and broader market reach. For Autochek, it deepens its footprint in Nigeria’s new vehicle segment.

Together, both companies are positioning themselves at the forefront of Nigeria’s ongoing automotive transformation — redefining how vehicles are discovered, financed and ultimately owned.

“The demand for vehicles in Nigeria has never been the issue; access to financing has,” said Etop Ikpe, Chief Executive Officer at Autochek Africa.

“Our partnership with Mikano Motors is designed to close that gap. By combining Mikano’s premium vehicle portfolio with our embedded financing technology, we are unlocking access to multiple banking partners with fast approvals so that anyone can find an offer that suits them, allowing more Nigerians to own brand-new cars with confidence.”
