KANO -Unknown gunmen have shot to death a retired Deputy Inspector General of Police, Abubakar Sale Ningi and two of his aides at Sauna Kawaji quarters, Kano, Tuesday evening.

The retired DIG was reported to be returning from his factory located in Kawaji suburb when the gunmen attacked him.

Kano Police image maker, Rilwanu Tanimu Dutse confirmed the incident but failed to disclose the identity of the two other men killed during the attack.

Vanguard learnt that the remains of the victims have been deposited at Gamji Military Hospital Kano.
