AMNI International Petroleum Development Company Limited, has said that recent media reports following a ruling of the Federal High Court dispute relates to contractual claims, and does not involve any finding, as in was respect of a commercial dispute arising from contractual engagements entered into in the ordinary course of business.

AMNI said that following the ruling, it has exercised its right of appeal and has filed the necessary applications in accordance with due process.

The appeal process, it said has, therefore, been initiated, and the company was engaging the judicial system in line with established legal procedures.

The company further confirmed that its operations remain stable and ongoing and has continued to meet its obligations to employees, partners, vendors, and regulatory authorities, and remains fully engaged in its upstream oil and gas operations and joint venture commitments.

AMNI said that as a responsible corporate citizen, it respects the authority of the court and remains committed to resolving the commercial dispute through lawful and appropriate channels and will therefore, refrain from commenting on the substantive merits of the matter while legal processes are ongoing.
It reassured its stakeholders that the issue at hand is a contractual disagreement being addressed through due process and not an indication of financial distress or operational disruption and will provide further updates as appropriate and in line with legal advice.
