QNET moves to deepen collaboration, ethical entrepreneurship, innovation

By Juliet Umeh

Direct selling company, QNET, has reaffirmed its commitment to ethical entrepreneurship, compliance and product innovation.

The company made this known as it unveiled its 2026 strategic direction at its New Year Media Webinar titled, “Setting the Narrative for the Year Ahead.”

The virtual session brought together media partners and company executives across Sub-Saharan Africa to outline priorities for the year, with strong emphasis on transparency, consumer protection and stakeholder engagement.

In his opening remarks, the Deputy Regional General Manager, QNET Sub-Saharan Africa, Cherif Bassirou Abdoulaye Sarr, expressed appreciation to the media for their professionalism and collaboration.

“Our team begins 2026 ‘Energised Every Day,’” he said. “This reflects our commitment to delivering consistent value through products that support everyday wellness and opportunities that empower entrepreneurship across Sub-Saharan Africa. Just as importantly, we remain committed to transparent engagement that builds trust with all stakeholders.”

He stressed the media’s role in shaping public perception, noting that accurate reporting ensures conversations around wellness, entrepreneurship and compliance are based on facts rather than assumptions.

Also speaking, Regional Legal Counsel, Mr. Kwesi Dansu, underscored the importance of sustained engagement with credible media platforms to correct longstanding misconceptions about the company.

He said: “Engagement helps ensure that accurate and credible information reaches the public. Whenever issues arise in the media space, we take them seriously and follow up accordingly.”

QNET Nigeria’s General Manager, Mr. Ayokunmi Solesi explained that the theme of the webinar was deliberate.

“Narratives do not shape themselves. They are shaped by clarity, facts and consistent engagement,” he stated. “This reflects how we see our role in Nigeria — in the everyday lives of entrepreneurs, consumers and the communities we serve.”

Reflecting on 2025, Solesi said the company shifted from being reactive to proactively owning its narrative, moving “from controversy to contribution, from misunderstanding to clarity, and from noise to facts.”

He outlined three strategic pillars for 2026: entrepreneurship; compliance and consumer protection; and product innovation.

On entrepreneurship, he said QNET would continue promoting ethical direct selling as a pathway to economic empowerment, particularly in markets with limited formal employment opportunities.

Clarifying public concerns, he added: “We do not offer jobs or hand out money. We offer opportunities for individuals to build independent businesses by selling quality products.”

On compliance, Solesi disclosed that the company has strengthened its compliance arm with trained officers who audit distributors operating under its Team Office system. He added that audits go beyond statutory requirements to ensure strict adherence to company policies and ethical standards.

“Trust is not built through a single press release,” Solesi emphasised. “It is built through sustained engagement grounded in facts. We look forward to a productive and energised year ahead.”

PR Manager for Sub-Saharan Africa, Francis, described the media as “our amplifier and foundation,” highlighting journalist engagements, product expos and international conventions aimed at deepening understanding of QNET’s operations.

The webinar concluded with a renewed commitment to openness, collaboration and proactive engagement throughout 2026.
