Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni

ABUJA – IN a bid to boost the state’s economy, weekend, an economic expert and author, Muhammed Alkali Kazir, asserted that it was overdue to unveil untapped investment opportunities in Yobe State with his book launch scheduled for March 26, 2026.
This was made known in a statement signed by Comrade Dandata Mahmud, which also explained that the book titled ‘An Insight on Export Potentials and Investment Opportunities in Yobe State: Vision 2030, was written by Kazir.
Meanwhile, personalities to headline the Book launch include; Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni; Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq; Gombe State Governor and Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, Inuwa Yahaya; Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umar Bago; Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf; business mogul, Aliko Dangote; and industrialist, Chief Arthur Eze, among others.
According to the statement, the author lamented Yobe’s abundant resources are untapped, and potential investors are not aware of these resources and existing opportunities due to limited access to reliable information.
He also noted efforts by the Yobe State Investment Company, however, a detailed reference guide such as the book would further bring the State and its massive and untapped resources and mouthwatering incentives on investment to the world.
He explained that the Book is so simplified for every potential investor to understand and act swiftly, and this will lead to pending up the rural economy, boosting internally generated revenue, making the business environment in the state attractive to local and foreign investors, and employment generation.
It also underscores the relative peace and security in the state as a critical enabler for sustainable investment.
