The Nigerian Bar Association Lawyers with Disabilities Forum (NBA-LWDF) has joined well-meaning Nigerians across the country, to celebrate oil magnate and industrialist, Engr. Matthew Tonlagha, as he marks his 50th birthday, describing the golden milestone, as a testament to a life defined by purpose, leadership and service to humanity.
In a goodwill statement issued by the Chairperson, NBA-LWDF, Ms. Patience Nkeonyeasua Etumudon, the Forum extolled Engr. Tonlagha, as a visionary professional, whose generosity and commitment to social responsibility, have translated into tangible impact, particularly in advancing inclusion and dignity for persons with disabilities within the legal profession.
Ms. Etumudon noted that Engr. Tonlagha’s exceptional support for the NBA-LWDF Annual Conference 2025, was pivotal to the success of the event, ensuring full, dignified and barrier-free participation of lawyers with disabilities.
According to her, this singular intervention underscores his deep understanding that true nation-building thrives on equity, access and opportunity for all.
“As Engr. Matthew Tonlagha celebrates 50 remarkable years. We honour a man whose philanthropy speaks louder than words, whose leadership inspires progress, and whose compassion strengthens inclusive development,” the statement read.
The NBA-LWDF, prayed for many more years of good health, fulfilment and greater accomplishments for the celebrant, expressing confidence that his journey of impact and service, will continue to uplift lives and contribute meaningfully to Nigeria’s development.
