According to him I’m speaking as a stakeholder in Ondo State, because I have paid my dues to the state.

“If somebody wants to be king, and you decide to carve out an area, including where my own origin is, and be king over it and I become your subject. It is an assault of the highest order.

“I want to appeal to the State Governor and Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters. If there is somebody they want to compensate, they can make him a Commissioner, or they should recommend him to Tinubu to become an Ambassador not to create problems for me and my generation in our town.

“I am appealing to the government, to intervene. I cannot become a subject to somebody who just wants to be king. Anybody who wants to be king, they should find a place to carve out for him somewhere.

“We have been struggling for the past two, three years now to make sure we develop that town. We’ve renovated our schools, we succeeded in bringing Civil Defence to Irun.

“Developmental projects are on going in the town for the benefit of all of us. And somebody is creating a problem that he wants to be king.

“So I am taking this opportunity to appeal to the governor and to the commissioner for local government to please, if there is anybody they want to compensate, they should find another way of compensating him.

“We want to have peace and develop our town. Government should not create any problem for us in Irun-Akoko by creating any kingdom for anybody.”

“We are calling on the government to come to our aid. We are here to ensure that there is peace and tranquilly across the four walls of Irun-Akoko. There are leaders who are responsible for the progress and peace in Irun.

“We don’t want any individual to polarise the town and that’s why we are always ensuring that there is peace because we don’t want war in our land.

“We are now saying that historically, Irun-Akoko has been together under the leadership of Onirun of Irun kingship.

“For God’s sake, we have to maintain peace for the development of Irun-Akoko. Like I said, there will be no Irun without Onirun of Irun.

He declared that “Onirun of Irun, Oba Agboola Samuel is our head and we are solidly behind him, and we don’t want war in our
