Accelerator non-dilutive funding programme launched for young African founders

Bridge Seed Global has announced the launch of a new impact-focused accelerator programme designed to support young African startup founders with non-dilutive capital and access to global networks.

The accelerator targets founders between the ages of 18 and 35 and will provide selected startups with £5,000 in non-dilutive funding, alongside mentorship, structured business support and exposure to international investors. The organisers say the initiative is aimed at helping early-stage founders build strong, scalable ventures without giving up equity at a critical growth phase.

Bridge Seed Global is co-founded by UK-based investor Leandra Mika and Managing Partner Ola Josh. The organisation operates at the intersection of faith-driven values and impact investing, with a mission centred on deploying capital as a tool for sustainable development.

Explaining the motivation behind the programme, Leandra Mika said the accelerator reflects a deeper purpose beyond financial returns. “We believe capital can be used to glorify God when it is intentionally invested in founders who are building solutions that create real value for communities,” she said.

Ola Josh noted that the programme is structured to prepare founders for long-term success and future fundraising. “Many young African entrepreneurs have great ideas but limited access to guidance and global capital. This accelerator is designed to equip them with the right mindset, skills and investor readiness needed to raise their first external funding,” he stated.

Entry into the programme is expected to be highly competitive, given the growing demand for non-dilutive funding among early-stage startups. However, Bridge Seed Global has encouraged eligible founders with strong ideas and impact potential to apply.

The six-month accelerator will conclude with a Demo Day, where participating startups will pitch their businesses to investors, creating opportunities for follow-on funding and strategic partnerships. The initiative is expected to further strengthen Africa’s startup ecosystem by supporting youth-led, purpose-driven enterprises.
