The Jagora Buro Youth Vanguard in Kebbi State has endorsed President Bola Tinubu and Governor Nasir Idris for a second term ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Speaking with journalists in Birnin Kebbi on Wednesday, the State Coordinator of the group, Comrade Isiyaku S. Galadima, said the endorsement followed extensive consultations and assessments conducted across urban and rural communities in the state.

According to him, the group concluded that continuity of the Idris-led administration would further consolidate development gains recorded in Kebbi State.

Galadima cited achievements in the health sector, noting that the state government has created an enabling environment for healthcare delivery, including improved remuneration for doctors and nurses, which he said has helped reduce migration to federal health institutions.

He also highlighted agricultural interventions, explaining that the Idris administration has supported farmers through the free distribution of fertiliser and the provision of solar-powered water pumping machines to boost dry-season farming.

“As Jagora Buro Youth Vanguard, we have objectively reviewed the administration’s achievements, which cut across human capital development and social infrastructure fairly distributed across the emirates of Kebbi State,” he said.

The group further acknowledged efforts by the state government to address security challenges, noting sustained logistical support to security agencies through the provision of patrol vehicles and other assistance.

Galadima said the improved security situation has encouraged farmers to return to their farms, while several internally displaced persons (IDP) camps have reportedly been closed, allowing affected residents to reunite with their families.

According to him, these achievements informed the group’s decision to advocate a second term for Governor Idris in the interest of youths and the wider population of the state.

“We are therefore calling on the people of Kebbi State to close ranks and collectively endorse Governor Nasir Idris and President Bola Tinubu for a second term in 2027,” he said.

The group also commended strides in the education sector, including the renovation of schools, provision of furniture, recruitment of teachers and construction of new schools across the state, describing the governor as a “teacher-governor” committed to revamping education.

Galadima further praised Alhaji Umaru Buro and the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Abubakar Umar Dustin Mari, for their support to youth groups.

He added that the Jagora Buro Youth Vanguard is prepared to mobilise hundreds of youths across the state in support of the Idris administration.
