…Thanks FG on NELFUND disbursement

The leadership of the Tai Solarin Federal University of Education Student Union (TASFUEDSU) has congratulated the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, the wife of the President,  Senator Oluremi Tinubu, former Ogun State Governor, Aremo Olusegun Osoba on the conferment of the prestigious  honorary doctorate degrees of the university on them by the University Senate and management.

A statement by Comrade Ogunfowora Oluwashinaayomi, the President of the Student Union, described the awards as well deserved.

“These honours reflect their significant contributions to public service, educational development, and the advancement of the Nigerian state. TASFUEDSU identifies with these icons of leadership as they are formally integrated into the academic heritage of Nigeria’s Premier University of Education.

“Furthermore, the Student Union Government expresses its profound appreciation to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for the successful disbursement of ₦700 Million to our institution through the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND). This strategic intervention has provided critical financial relief to our students, ensuring academic continuity and alleviating the economic burden on our constituents.

“In the same vein, the union welcomes with great optimism the transition of the university to a federal institution. We firmly believe that the Federal Government taking over the university will fundamentally elevate its status, attract greater infrastructural investment, and significantly boost the academic excellence for which this premier university is known. This move is a strategic milestone that secures the future of every TASFUED student.

“The Union remains committed to fostering a harmonious relationship between the students, the university management, and the government to ensure that TASFUED continues to thrive as a global center of academic and professional excellence.”
