Leading transport and logistics company, Pomegranate Nigeria Limited (PNL) has hosted its year 2026 post-budget retreat, team-bonding experience and dinner for staff members in Abeokuta.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of PNL, Mr Wole Elusakin, at the team-bonding dinner held at South Kitchen in Abeokuta on Friday, emphasised the company’s people-first philosophy, noting that the annual event is to set the tone for a successful working year.

Elusakin, while speaking on the theme of the company for the year: “Impossible is nothing”, said that whatever target set for the year is achievable no matter the challenges faced in the industry.

While acknowledging that 2025 was a tough year for businesses in the country, the founder/CEO advised co-business owners not to give up, but adopt alternative strategies to survive the challenges they face.

He called on government to proffer solutions to the challenges they face such as multiple taxation, and he commended the efforts to address these challenges through the new tax policy.

Elusakin announced that Pomegranate Nigeria Ltd would soon be launching PNLHub, Africa’s first cargo-hailing ride platform, the app which is already available for download on Android (Play Store) and iOS.

The highlight of the dinner event was the presence of renowned Nollywood actor and cultural icon, Odunlade Adekola, who joined the PNL team for a memorable experience marked by warmth, inspiration, and positive energy.

Elusakin noted that as a successful actor, Odunlade could inspire the staff to succeed in achieving the set target of growing the business further in 2026.

Odunlade Adekola who presented a leadership award to Dorothy Okunoye, expressed happiness to be part of the team-bonding for staff of the logistics company.

While charging the staff of PNL to keep up the good work, Odunlade advised against procrastination, urging them to work together and put in their best for the success of the company.

Okunoye, the finance and control manager at PNL who won the award expressed surprise at the recognition, appreciating the management for the gesture.

She assured that she would put in her best in the new year, reiterating that with hard work and consistency nothing would be impossible for the entire staff of the company.

The event also provided an opportunity for discussions between Odunlade Adekola and the PNL leadership on a potential collaboration, with PNLHub at the centre of a forthcoming app launch campaign.

As part of the team-bonding activities, staff of PNL had earlier visited key tourist and cultural landmarks in Abeokuta, including the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL), where they toured the wildlife park, experienced a boat ride on the lake, and visited the iconic Olumo Rock, fostering unity, while celebrating Nigeria’s rich heritage.

The event concluded on a high note, as team members bonded over food, games, laughter, and celebration, reinforcing unity and shared purpose as Pomegranate Nigeria Ltd prepares for an impactful 2026.
