On December 16, 2025, CcHub Lekki Phase 1 hosted the successful launch of Gifted or Cursed?, the new book by author, artist, and Lagos Errandboy CEO, Michael Seun Sunday AKA Mykel Rapsy. The event also marked the production of a landmark three-part podcast series, produced in partnership with Rara Avis Entertainment.
The event was moderated by Amanda David, known mononymously as Ermandha (Business and Partnership Manager at Blackdrum 360 and Head of Media, The Humour Awards Academy). The panel featured an honest, high-stakes dialogue on the mental health journey of Nigerian creatives.
Notably, Fireman shared a poignant account of his experience with the highs of fame and the subsequent struggles of the industry, a theme that resonated deeply with the audience.
The panel was rounded out by renowned producer Humbledann, Bclean with the wisdom and reggae lines, the witty and vibrant artist Vybz, music and fine artist Dilo Swagz (Rapsy ‘s brother) and Boogie James, whose emotional outburst of asserting he was cursed left everyone feeling sober but slightly amused.
While the live panel was in session, the project’s reach extended globally through Surpy King. The world-renowned dance artist and coach, currently touring Spain, France, the USA, and Germany to teach “Konto” dance, has been promoting hard copies of the book across international dance studios and creative spaces.
The book received a strong endorsement from Della Okhiria, Co-founder of Lagos Errandboy, highlighting the corporate support for mental health advocacy within the creative sector. The event’s intimate atmosphere was captured by Christie Sunday, who managed behind-the-scenes coverage support for her brother’s milestone project.
The three-part Gifted or Cursed? podcast series is currently on YouTube. While the book ‘Gifted or Cursed?’ can be found on Amazon, Selar and also on Spotify in audio form.
