A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC  Ozurumba Henry Ikechukwu Ikoh has commended the Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum and the Director General of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors,  His Excellency,  Senator Hope Uzodinma for repositioning  the APC in South East Region by bringing together party leaders and Stakeholders to unanimously endorse the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the forthcoming 2027 Presidential election.

The Ex- Minister and the Abia State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors,  made this assertion while addressing newsmen at the international conference center of the presidential hotel Enugu, the venue of the ” Izu Umunne ” gathering of the Leaders of APC from the South East region . 

He added “Governor Uzodinma’s proactive leadership has enabled the region to identify issues of concerns in the party and also drawn a road map for membership mobilization and total victory for the party” he said.

He appreciated the commitment of the Stakeholders in attending the crucial meeting and enjoined the party leaders and faithfuls from the zone to rally support behind the Imo State Governor and Chairman of South East Governors Forum.  He went on to say, “Sen. Uzodinma has the wisdom and political experience to direct the affairs of the party on behalf of Mr President to ensure unity among members and progress in achieving a convincing victory in the next general elections” 

“It is our duty to drive home to our various states this same spirit of oneness and loyalty in the party as being demonstrated today in order to win the confidence and support of the electorates as we go into the general elections” he  further advised.

 Chief Ikoh who dubs as the Abia State Coordinator for the Renewed Hope Ambassadors and the former Minister of State Science and Technology,  seized the occasion and called on political leaders in Abia State  to exercise restrain in their public comments on issues of governance and to regard the privilege of being elected to government offices as an opportunity to serve the people rather than self serving and fanning of ego .

The former Minister stressed the need for leaders to uphold public trust reposed on them by the people of Abia State, he said that displaying such attributes would endear our great party the APC to the hearts of people of the state.

South East APC Stakeholders meeting which took place on Saturday the 10th of January at Enugu,  Enugu State , had in attendance the Executive Governor of Imo State, His Excellency Senator Uzodinma who chaired the occasion, the Ebony State counterpart, His Excellency Ogbonna Nwifuru and the host Governor , His Excellency Peter Mbah. The gathering was graced by the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon Benjamin Kalu, , Hon. Dr  Kingsley Tochukwu Udeh ( SAN) Minister of Science and Technology , Hon Nkeiru Onyejeocha the Minister of State for labour , former Governor of Imo State, Ikedi Ohakim, the former Governor of Enugu State His Excellency Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi ,also in attendance where the former Senate President Pius Ayim, who is the Zonal Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, , the former Minister of State Science and Technology Ozurumba Henry Ikoh , Ambassador Joy Ogwu, former Minister of State Foreign Affairs , serving and former members of the National Assembly and state Assemblies attended the meeting 

In a communique signed by the Chairman of the South East Governors Forum and Imo State Governor , His Excellency Senator Hope Uzodinma , his Enugu State counterpart ,Peter Mbah , Ogbonna Nwifuru the Governor of Ebonyi state ,  Hon Emma Eneukwu, the Deputy National Chairman ( South) of the All Progressives ,, Dr Ijeoma Arodiogbu ,the South East Zonal Chairman of the APC  , 

the  South East  APC leaders resolved to : * dessicate , rescind support or endorsement of any personal ambition of any individual that will not serve the collective interest of the Zone . * They Pledge to join other zones in supporting the ruling party , the All Progressives Congress , APC  .

* The Leaders declared support for President Bola Ahmed Tiinubu as their sole candidate for the 2027  Presidential and general elections ,  citing Mr President’s numerous achievements and development projects located in the South East .

*  the gathering reaffirmed it’s support for the leadership of the Chairman of the South East Governors Forum and Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum , His Excellency Senator  Hope Uzodinma and the entire APC Governors of the South East Zone
