The Society for Peace and Social Progress, SPSP, Lagos State Chapter, has called on all residents of Lagos State to promote peace and unity in their daily engagements throughout 2026.

Speaking on behalf of the chapter, the Chairman, Richard Emmanuel, urged Lagosians to uphold peace and harmony and to desist from any actions capable of sowing hatred or inciting conflict.

In a statement issued by the State Secretary, Suleiman Hassan, the society reiterated the importance of cordial relationships among residents and communities.

The statement emphasized the need for courage, firmness, mutual respect, and dialogue in all interactions in 2026.

SPSP also appealed to Lagosians to shun all forms of violence, hate speech, and provocative acts that could threaten public safety and social stability.

It encouraged neighborhoods, religious bodies, market associations, and civil groups to collaborate with the Lagos State Government in fostering and sustaining a culture of peace across the state.
