High-level preparations are underway in Aboh as the kingdom prepares to celebrate the diamond jubilee and the first-year coronation anniversary of His Imperial Majesty, Obi Dr. Greg Nnamdi Oputa III.

According to a statement by the event’s organising committee, the festivities will begin on Friday, December 26, 2025, with the conferral of chieftaincy titles and honours on distinguished members of the society. The ceremony will take place at the palace of His Imperial Majesty at 12 noon.

The celebrations will continue on Saturday, December 27, with a grand royal celebration marking both the diamond jubilee and the one-year enthronement anniversary, scheduled for 12 noon at the palace grounds.

The three-day programme will conclude on Sunday, December 28, with a special thanksgiving service followed by a “Jesus Mega Party” at the Throne of Grace Ministries in Aboh, beginning at 8 a.m.

Reports from Aboh indicate that the entire kingdom has been spruced up in anticipation of the celebrations. The palace, roads, market, and other public spaces have been tidied and beautified to welcome dignitaries and guests expected to attend the historic events.
