The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), in collaboration with 17asus Resources Limited, has successfully concluded a one-month plumbing and water treatment training programme for 50 youths in Edo State.

The training, designed to equip young Nigerians with practical and employable skills, provided participants with hands-on experience in plumbing systems and water treatment processes, thereby enhancing their employability and entrepreneurial opportunities.

Speaking at the conclusion of the programme, the lead facilitator, Mr. Peter Omonua, described the training as “amazing” and commended the NCDMB for its sustained commitment to youth development and capacity building.

He noted that the initiative aligns with the NCDMB’s mandate to develop local talent and strengthen indigenous industry expertise, with a focus on economic growth, job creation and sustainable development.

The successful completion of the programme, according to the organisers, reflects the shared commitment of NCDMB and 17asus Resources Limited to empowering youths and promoting skills acquisition as a pathway to economic advancement.

The trained participants are expected to deploy their skills across sectors such as construction, water treatment and plumbing services, contributing to reduced reliance on foreign expertise and the advancement of local content development in Nigeria.
