In another display of resilience and vision by the Chijioke Ezugwu led-administration in Uzo Uwani Local Government Area of Enugu State, the council is proud to announce its successful drilling of a solar powered borehole at the Green Smart School in Umulokpa, headquarters of the Local Council.

The breakthrough was recorded after a depth of 1000 feets/290 meters by Aso Drill Tech LTD., being a Borehole drilling firm, drafted to ensure availability of clean and portable water at the ongoing construction site.

This milestone which is the first of its kind by any administration in the local council since its Creation, is yet another footprint of Barr. Chijioke Ezugwu’s administration since his assumption of office as Executive Chairman of the rural Council.

Speaking during the event, chief Executive officer of Aso Drill Tech LTD, Mr. Christopher Asogwa Nnamdi, also used the opportunity to announce the drilling of Antisan Borehole at the Green Smart School, while expressing joy that the breakthrough came through his drilling firm.

His words: “I am overjoyed that for the first time in the history of UZO UWANI LGA, that a functional borehole has been drilled in the LG headquarters by a local administration, after a depth of 1000 feets/290 meters.

“Also, an Antisan borehole (flowing free without a pump), was drilled at the smart Green school here in Umulokpa by my company.

“All these were successful due to the total commitment of the council Chairman, Barr. Chijioke Ezugwu.

“I personally commend the spirit of RESILIENCE in him, especially in ensuring that these successes were achieved after many attempts by previous administrations proved abortive.

“I thank God for the success and also thank him for the effort he has made in writing his name in the archive of history.

“I count myself blessed to be part of this success story”, he concluded.
