The Anambra State Government has released the lineup of events for the highly anticipated ‘Ọnwa Dezemba’, a special Christmas extravaganza aimed at making December 2025 unforgettable in the mind of Ndi- Anambra.

According to a statement by the State’s Commissioner for Information, Dr. Law Mefo, The #onwadezemba City Block for the GenZ, a fun-filled gathering with music, performances and other forms of entertainment, will hold on December 18, starting 6pm at Awka City Stadium (By Solution Fun City), while the #onwadezemba Christmas Carol/Cankata, kicks off by 4pm at Alex Ekwueme Square, Awka on December 20th.
The #onwadezemba Children’s Christmas Festival was fixed for December 25th by 2pm at Solution Fun City, and the #onwadezemba Ịgba Mmanwụ Festival will hold on 27th December by 2pm at Alex Ekwueme Square, Awka, and it kicks off by 2pm at Township Stadium, Ekwulobia, on 28th December, and also at Ezechima Primary School, Onitsha by 2pm on 29th December.

The #onwadezemba Flavour Home Coming, a special concert where Anambra’s popular musician, Flavour n’Abanịa, returns to Anambra State for a special performance, by 5pm at Solution Fun City.

On 3rd January, 2026, the #onwadezemba Walk for Life kicks off by 7am at Alex Ekwueme Square, Awka, while on 3rd January, 2026, the #onwadezemba LOL (Laugh Out Loud) Anambra, a comedy show/stand-up comedy night where comedians perform live, aiming to make the audience laugh out loud, holds by 5pm at Solution Fun City.

On 4th January 2026, the #onwadezemba All White Old School Night, a party/event where attendees are encouraged to wear all-white outfits with focus on playing and celebrating “old school” music, kicks off by 6pm at Solution Fun City.

According to the statement, Ndị Anambra are expected to be part of the celebrations to fully enjoy Anambra ‘s rich cultural heritage and entertainment hubs.
