The General Overseer, Olive Mountain of Prayer & Praise Ministry International Church, Prophet Timothy Collins has called on religion organisations to create avenue for empowerment of their needy members and as well in the community where they operate.

This he said at the 2025 annual thanksgiving service of his church at New Layout Estate, Ijagemo-Road, Iejgun, Ikotun, Lagos, where he gathers the widows, youths, needy ones in the community for different kind of empowerment.

Speaking in a media chat, Prophet Timothy said, “the essence of ministry is to help humanity both spiritually and physically. This is the right time in the country where religious leaders should make impact in the live of their followers and in the society following the rate of hunger, untold hardship, poverty many families are going through”.

According to him, this is a practice I started before I joined the ministry, and now I should do more. It gives me joy to provide for the needy in the society, that is what we are created to do.

In addition, his wife, Mrs. Timothy Collins said, “A lot of people see church as business, so we reach out to outsiders, and empower them. It makes me happy when cook and feed people and also provide them take-away food items.
