The Continental Hotel Group has unveiled a combined festive programme for Christmas and New Year celebrations across its Abuja and Lagos properties, offering guests a unified holiday experience in both cities.

Announcing the initiative, the Cluster Director of Marketing, Continental Hotels, Richard Mutanda, said the Twin-City Festive Escape, which runs from December 2025 to mid-January 2026, is designed to give travellers “an opportunity to celebrate the season in style” with a mix of exclusive accommodation offers, gourmet dining, family entertainment and wellness perks.

Under the promotion, guests can access early-bird room rates inclusive of breakfast for two adults and two children under 12, alongside a complimentary welcome gift for kids. The package also features a 20% discount on one-month gym membership, a 60-minute Swedish massage, a complimentary 15-minute facial or head massage, and a free body assessment at each hotel’s fitness centre.

At the Abuja Continental, festivities begin on 21 December with a brunch at Obudu Grill, followed by Christmas Eve lunch and dinner on 24 December, and a Christmas Day brunch at the Lakeside Conference Centre. The highlight is a poolside New-Year’s Eve dinner on 31 December, featuring a chef’s special menu, live entertainment and a champagne toast, rounded off with New-Year’s Day brunch and dinner on 1 January.

Families will have access to the Children’s Fun Village, Sip-and-Paint sessions, and a visit from Santa, while adults can unwind at the Ginger Bread House with hot cocoa and festive treats.

In Lagos, the celebrations open on 4 December with a Tree-Lighting Ceremony in the hotel lobby, accompanied by a choir performance, a pop-up Christmas boutique and curated holiday spirits at the Macallan Bar. Ekaabo Restaurant will host a Santa Brunch on 21 December, a Christmas Day brunch on 25 December and New-Year’s Eve dining.

The hotel’s Crossover Night at Sugar 52 on 31 December will feature live music, a champagne toast and a fireworks display over the city skyline, followed by a New-Year’s Day brunch on 1 January. The Lagos Children’s Fun Village will offer creative workshops, sip-and-paint activities and Santa appearances, complemented by festive treats and hot cocoa at the Ginger Tree House.

Mutanda said the initiative reflects the hotels’ commitment to elevating holiday experiences in Nigeria. “At Lagos and Abuja Continental, we believe the holidays are about creating memories that linger long after the decorations are taken down. Our festive offering is designed to envelop our guests in warmth, wonder and world-class hospitality.”
