Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has arrived in Beijing, China, to conclude discussions on a model Integrated Poultry Development Project valued at about $200 million.

According to a statement, the project is expected to generate over $450 million annually and create more than 350,000 direct and indirect jobs across the poultry value chain. It is also projected to strengthen food security, accelerate agro-industrialisation, boost exports and position Kaduna as one of Africa’s leading agribusiness hubs.

Governor Sani is leading a high-level delegation that includes a Federal Government team headed by the Director-General of the Nigeria–China Strategic Partnership, Mr. Joseph Tegba. The delegation will engage key Chinese investors to finalise technical cooperation and secure long-term investment commitments.

During the visit, the governor is scheduled to hold meetings with China Communications Construction Company and other major stakeholders in China’s agricultural sector to deepen collaboration in technology transfer, infrastructure development and supply-chain management for the project.

Governor Sani thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for selecting Kaduna State as the pilot location for the initiative and expressed appreciation to the Chinese government and partner companies for their confidence in the state.

The Kaduna State Government said the project would stimulate economic growth, generate employment and significantly improve livelihoods across the state.
