CSO lauds Musa’s appointment as Defence Minister

A civil society organization (CSO), Initiative for Leadership Development and Change (ILDC) has lauded President Tinubu’s appointment of retired Gen.Christopher Musa as Minister of Defence.

The National President of the CSO, Chief Ugochukwu Nnam gave the commendation in an interview with journalist in Abuja on Thursday.

Nnam who described retired Gen. Musa as a detribalized Nigerian, said he is most qualified for the job.

“Retired Gen Christopher Musa is a man of proven personality, integrity and uncompromising in the fight against terrorism.

“In fact, he is not a tribal bigot nor an sympathizer for terrorists, he operates in accordance with the rule of engagement without fear or favour,” he said.

The ILDC boss saluted President Tinubu’s choice of Musa in this critical phase of national insecurity.

He expressed confidence in the capacity of Minister of Defence to degrade and defeat terrorism.

Nnam advocated national support for the Minister of Defence, saying that security is every one’s business.

According to him, when you see something say something and by so doing our gallant officers will defeat terrorism.

The ILDC President who reiterated his confidence in Gen.Musa’s defence ingenuity of Musa, said that Nigeria would be safe again.

He therefore commended the Senate for approving his appointment as the Minister of Defence.

The Senate on Wednesday confirmed the appointment of a former Chief of Defence Staff, retired Gen. Christopher Musa as Nigeria’s new Minister of Defence.
