The Kaduna State chapter of the Councillors Forum has commended Governor Uba Sani for what it described as his remarkable peace-building efforts and dynamic leadership, noting that the administration has made significant progress in restoring security across the state.

Chairman of the Forum, Hon. Auwal Sani Muhammad, stated this during an international press briefing held in Kaduna. He said one of the most notable achievements of the current administration is the improvement in security, which has allowed many farmers who previously fled their farmlands due to attacks to return and resume farming activities.

According to him, several primary and secondary schools earlier shut down over security concerns have also reopened and are now operating normally.

The Councillors Forum passed a vote of confidence in Governor Uba Sani and extended similar support to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, commending the President’s handling of national security challenges and the far-reaching economic reforms introduced under the Renewed Hope Agenda.

Comrade Muhammad reaffirmed the Forum’s solidarity with the governor ahead of the 2027 political season, pledging full backing for his future aspirations.

He, however, appealed to the state government to facilitate the payment of the councillors’ outstanding 17-month salary arrears and gratuities, noting that fulfilling these obligations would further motivate grassroots lawmakers to deliver effective representation.

Muhammad recalled that in April 2023, the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) approved a review of remuneration for political, public and judicial office holders nationwide. He noted that while Soba and Giwa Local Government Councils had implemented the new package and paid their councillors accordingly, other councils were still in the process of meeting their obligations.

He stressed that all Forum members remain committed supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and stand firmly behind both President Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani to ensure the success of their respective development agendas.
