Zamfara Governor, Interior, Aviation ministers headline winners of 13th GAH awards

Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State, Ministers of Aviation and Interior, Barrister Festus Keyamo and Dr. Olubunmi Tunji Ojo respectively, are among 2025 winners of excellence of the 13th GAH Awards.


Amiso Joy, Executive Lead Team, GAH Awards & Business Summit said other recipients are Engr. Anthony (Tony) Attah, MD/CEO, Renaissance Africa, Prof. Obiora Gregory Okonkwo, OFR – Chairman/CEO, United Nigeria Airlines, Dr. Joe Okei-Odumakin – Founder, Women Arise Initiative, and HRM Olori Ronke Ogunwusi – Founder, Africa Fashion Week London; CEO, Adire Oodua Textile Hub.


Mrs Amiso said the recipients were getting the award for their “because they represent the core values of the GAH Awards: Excellence, Innovation, Enterprise Leadership, Inclusion, and Sustainable Development. Their contributions continue to shape national and continental narratives, drive socio-economic advancement, and inspire a progressive vision for Africa’s future.”


The 13th edition of the GAH Awards & Business Summit which will be held at Eko Hotels & Suites on the 12th of December 2025 with the theme: “ Africa Reimagined: Innovation, Inclusion & Sustainable Growth” stands as a reaffirmation of our vision to build a Pan-African platform where leaders, innovators, enterprise builders, and policy shapers converge to exchange ideas, inspire transformation, and elevate the standards of excellence across sectors


She revealed that the theme was chosen because it reflects Africa’s most urgent and promising realities: “The continent is at a defining point where creativity, technology, policy reforms, youth-driven enterprise, and cross-sector collaboration are shaping an entirely new Africa. The theme reinforces the GAH mission to celebrate transformation while inspiring new pathways for continental development”,


“This conversation is extremely timely because Africa is undergoing rapid shifts—economically, technologically, socially, and politically. With global attention turning towards African talent, resources, and innovation hubs, the narrative of who leads Africa forward has never been more critical. The continent requires a unified focus on sustainable solutions, visionary leadership, gender inclusion, youth empowerment, enterprise development, and institutional advancement”.
