The Watchman Catholic Charismatic Renewal Movement, Lagos Island District, hosted the 2025 Prosperity Torch Business Summit on Sunday, November 23, at its Jakande, Lekki auditorium. 

Themed “You Are What You Know,” the summit brought together entrepreneurs, students, professionals, and innovators for a day focused on business growth, capacity building, and spiritual enrichment.

The event featured panel discussions, keynote lectures, mentorship sessions, and empowerment grants. 

Panels covered business startups, growth strategies, intrapreneurship, and workplace innovation. 

Keynotes included talks on AI in business by data scientist Sebastian Obeta, taxation and compliance by Barr. Michael Oyagha, and strategies for rebuilding businesses by Dr. Nnamdi Felix Unachukwu.

A highlight of the summit was the Empowerment Grant Awards, where 10 SMEs received seed funds between ₦200,000 and ₦500,000 to support business development.

The event also offered networking, entertainment, and spiritual guidance, with closing remarks by gospel minister Mrs. Jewel Opara encouraging participants to pursue wealth with integrity.

The summit continues the Church’s mission to promote economic empowerment and holistic welfare, reflecting the vision of Pastor Aloysius Chukwuemeka Ohanebo to serve as “a channel of blessing to all seekers of God.” Organizers confirmed that the event will remain an annual platform for entrepreneurship and collaboration.
