QNET showcases youth-focused learning, transparent wellness products at Lagos Product Expo

Global direct-selling company, QNET, has reiterated its commitment to youth empowerment, product transparency and responsible entrepreneurship as it opened the Lagos edition of its QNET Product Expo.
The Expo is a knowledge forum where the company engages consumers, journalists and regulators on the science behind its wellness, lifestyle and educational products.

Speaking during an interactive session, Regional Strategy and Marketing Manager, QNET, Mr. Bernieg Gaksch, said the company’s strategy is shaped by the aspirations of young Nigerians, particularly Gen Z – who increasingly prefer entrepreneurship over traditional 9-to-5 work.

Gaksch said Q-Learn, QNET’s online learning platform, was created to equip young people with practical business and communication skills many do not acquire in school.

He said: “We saw a lot of young people aspiring to be entrepreneurs. Many are 18, 19, 20 years old with no real business foundation
“You may have studied science or engineering yet lack presentation, writing or sales skills. Q-Learn builds these fundamentals through courses from partners in the UK, US and across Europe.”

He added that the platform features modules in business management, communication, presentation, and a Certified Network Marketer Plus course focused on the global direct-selling industry, not on QNET specifically.

Addressing misconceptions about the QI Group’s university in Malaysia, Gaksch stressed that the institution is not linked to QNET’s business operations.

“The university belongs to the QI Group, not QNET. Admissions are handled directly by the institution. Applicants submit their documents just like any other university. It has a medical school, business school and economics faculty, but it has nothing to do with QNET membership,” he explained.

He noted that the university hosts many Nigerian, Ghanaian and Ivorian students, all admitted strictly on merit.

Responding to questions about product integrity, Gaksch said QNET invests significantly in third-party testing and global certifications for its wellness technologies.

On the HomePure Zayn air purifier, he said: “The filtration system removes and destroys viruses using an electrostatic filter. It is certified to eliminate up to 99.94 percent of airborne COVID-19 particles. COVID mutates, but the system is tested to handle prevailing strains.”

He also clarified concerns about chlorine and boiled water: “Chlorine keeps municipal water safe, but long-term exposure dries the skin and is not ideal for consumption. Boiling water is also not the best because many chemicals don’t die at 100 degrees, and you lose beneficial minerals. Our HomePure Nova and shower filters remove chlorine to give cleaner, healthier water.”

Gaksch also introduced ProSpark, QNET’s natural toothpaste enriched with astaxanthin, a compound known for improving blood flow and gum health.

“Many people experience bleeding gums and inflammation. Astaxanthin helps with these issues. We removed fluoride, which new studies show may be harmful in high quantities, and replaced it with natural rock salt for enamel strength,” he said.

He added a “fun fact” for consumers: “If you check your toothpaste at home, a black strip means 100 percent chemical, blue means semi-chemical, and green means 100 percent natural. Our founders strongly believe in chemical-free wellness products.”

On QNET’s vacation product, QVI Club, Gaksch clarified that it is not a travel agency.

“We don’t process visas or flight tickets. QVI is a vacation club that gives access to our resorts in Thailand, Turkey, Italy and Sri Lanka, plus over a million hotels globally through our Vacay platform. Members often get better rates than regular booking sites.”

Gaksch reaffirmed QNET’s openness and willingness to engage Nigerians.

He said: “We want Nigerians to fully understand our products and our business. Transparency is our priority. Through education, whether through Q-Learn or forums like this, we ensure consumers make informed decisions.”
