Christian women leaders at the Global Virtual Women’s Conference, organised by the Christian Women Mentoring Network under the theme “The Mentoring Advantage: Influencing Titus 2 Women for Global Impact,” urged the revival of intentional, scripture-based mentoring to shape future generations.

Drawing from Titus 2:3–5, Keynote Speaker and Co-Coordinator of Christian Women Mentoring Network, Pastor Ada Babajide, described mentoring as a God-ordained biblical practice—not a modern invention—that has been neglected. She cited examples like Naomi–Ruth, Mary–Elizabeth, and Jesus’ discipleship model, stressing that legacy-building requires deliberate, generational investment.

“Mentoring is sacrificial, relational, and purposeful,” Babajide said.

“It involves walking alongside others in marriage, career, character, and spiritual growth—helping them become who God created them to be,” she added.

She emphasised a three-layer model— mentors, peer mentors, and mentees— and warned that mentors are instruments, not owners, of the process.

Other speakers reinforced the message.
Mother Are of Calvary Ministries, Lagos, expanded “older women” to include those ahead in experience, knowledge, or spiritual maturity, urging women to use life lessons—including failures—as mentoring tools.
Connie Parker framed mentoring as “wise friendship,” modeled after Jesus’ relational approach with His disciples—listening, sharing life, and empowering without requiring perfection.
Kathleen Trock-Malhoek cautioned against superficial righteousness, using everyday moments to impress scripture on hearts rather than just minds.

Speakers agreed: mentoring is not lifelong but seasonal, must be Holy Spirit-led, and requires both mentor and mentee to remain teachable. Women were challenged to intentionally nurture the next generation through prayer, presence, and biblical example to sustain faith and godly character for global impact.
