The High Commission of India in Abuja, in partnership with the Kaduna International Film Festival (KADIFF), held a special short film screening and panel discussion recently in Abuja.
The event, inaugurated by High Commissioner to Nigeria, Abhishek Singh, featured the Indian film Good Morning and the Nigerian film Not So Long a Letter.
The event also featured a panel of filmmakers and journalists discussed ways cinema can strengthen cultural heritage and collaboration between the Indian and Nigerian film industries.
High Commissioner Singh highlighted the scale of Bollywood and Nollywood and announced the upcoming HCI event Bollywood and Yamarita, which will combine films and Nigerian cuisine.
The initiative is part of the India-Nigeria Programme of Culture Cooperation and Exchanges (2024–2029), aimed at deepening cultural ties and people-to-people connections between the two countries.
