Renowned entertainment executive, successful businessman, and philanthropist Soso Soberekon has officially announced the first batch of beneficiaries of his School Fees Empowerment Initiative — a tuition-support scheme aimed at easing the financial burden of students across the 23 local government areas of Rivers State.

Last week, Soberekon revealed through his social media platforms that he would personally sponsor the school fees of one student from each LGA in Rivers State. The initiative covers students currently studying in universities, polytechnics, colleges of education, and private institutions within the state, provided they have valid identification.

The names, tuition amounts, and other details of the selected beneficiaries were compiled and verified by Uwuma Umanta Awala and Soye Granville, with no interference from Soberekon himself, ensuring a transparent and credible selection process.

Hailing proudly from Kalabari, Asari-Toru Local Government Area (Buguma City), Soso Soberekon has built an inspiring legacy as both a trailblazer in Nigeria’s entertainment industry and a visionary entrepreneur who continues to invest in human capacity development.
