Through the Lagos State Government, through the office of the Special Adviser to governor on rural electrification.
“The Baale and other committee members in the community visited EKEDC at Agbara constantly to help us energize the transformer but they are yet to do so.”
According to Mr. Semanu Similar incident happened February 2025 The senator representing Lagos West senatorial district, Senator Idiát Adebule of the All Progressives Congress, APC donated a transformer to the community. We reached out to the EKEDC at Agbara to come and Energize and connect the transformer instead of leaving it there but no response from them and this transformer is worth millions of Naira.”
Another resident in the community said “ before 2024 this community had been without power supply for more than three years.”
Other residents like Mr. Okewole Fatai and Mrs Agnes decried the situation, saying: “Two transformers at our disposal and we are still suffering in darkness. No power supply for school children to iron their clothes; go to Age-Mowo junior Secondary School owned by the government and other private schools, so many of them look unkempt and very rough. We are crying out to the state government and local government to come to our aid.”
