OSOGBO—An early morning inferno yesterday razed five shops in Osogbo, the Osun State capital, destroying property worth millions of naira.

The shops located close to Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, LAUTECH, Teaching Hospital in Ajegunle area of Osogbo, were loaded with provisions, clothes and other items.

Eyewitness told Vanguard that the shops were seen burning around 7.00am, saying the source of the inferno was not known to them.

Some of the shop owners who were scene at the scene of the fire could not comment on the cause of the fire outbreak out of shock.

It was learnt that the inferno which razed the shops completely started at about 6.00am in the morning and from a provision store where it extended to other shops.
