Ahead the November 8, 2025 gubernatorial election in Anambra State the National Chairman, All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), Barr Sly Ezeokenwa, has expressed confidence on the people of Onitsha South Local Government Area (LGA) over their grassroots strength and commitment to victory for the party’s standard bearer, Governor Chukwuma Soludo.
He was speaking at the LGA’s Secretariat during the stakeholders meeting convened by the Mayor, Hon Chief Emeka Orji, which comprises of all the 17 wards executives, stakeholders and LG working committee.
Ezeokenwa also expressed confidence on the commitment demonstrated particularly by the Onitsha South campaign coordinator, noting that APGA must surely win all the 17 wards in the area.
The National Chairman also emphasized that Onitsha South Local Government remains his core focus because it is his local government, expressing that his heart is with his people.
He further extended his sincere gratitude to the Mayor of Onitsha South, the party chairman of the Local Government, ward chairmen, and all stakeholders, describing them as vital pillars of grassroots mobilization and party strength in Onitsha South.
In his remarks, Hon. Orji enjoined Ndi Onitsha South to gear up towards the forthcoming election. He emphasized on winning all the 17 polling units in the area, assuring them of a peaceful election and reiterated that APGA is Anambra and Anambra is APGA.
A Stakeholder in the area, Hon Tochukwu Umeobieri, said that the meeting is all inclusive one and for those that have the interest of the party at heart for the forthcoming Guber election.
He stated, “It is a strategic meeting where we come to brainstorm on how to win governorship election in Anambra State.
‘‘As it is today and I strongly believe that APGA will win 21 over 21. The government of Governor Chukwuma Soludo is doing wonderfully well, for instance in Fegge community, he built not less than 14 roads in Onitsha South, general hospital, among others.
“I believe that this coming election is going to be win-win for APGA because the governor has done well. I advise Ndi Onitsha South to support the governor, to also come out and vote him because he deserves it and he has performed well’’.
