The wife of retired Inspector-general of Police, Sir Mike Okiro will be buried today in Obiakpu, Egbema Local government Area of Rivers State.

The final burial rite of Chief Mrs. Hera Okiro began last Thursday at her residence in Abuja with a service of songs at the Holy Trinity Church, Maitama area.

The solemn occasion was presided over by the parish priest Rev Fr Chris Inegbenoghu. In attendance were prominent personalities which include among others, Diplomats from International Communities, serving and former Governors, Senators, members of the House of Reps, Ambassadors and other personalities.

In his sermon, the parish priest, Rev Fr Chris Inegbenoghu  dwelled on the life and times of her life and  praised her philanthropic, peaceful lifestyle as worthy of emulation. He also advised Nigerians to change their lifestyles, reiterating that those in high positions should always respect the rights of others and render help where necessary.
