FORMER Deputy Governor of Edo state, Rev.Peter Obadan, Retired Justice A.S.Abiri, Athanacious Ugbome and former chairman of Owan West Local Government Council, Mr Richard Ofemu, yesterday, led over one thousand members of PDP and the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP), who dumped their parties for the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), at Auchi,Etsako West Local Government Council of the state.

They were received into the party in a rally where Governor Adams Oshiomhole kicked off his governorship campaign in Edo North senatorial district of the state.

With yesterday’s governorship campaign, the governor brought to an end his governorship campaign in the three senatorial districts of the state, amidst grief.

Rev. Obadan who declared that the PDP in the state failed the people of the state, pointed out that the problem with the PDP in the state was caused by a cabal “led by a god father”, adding “and because they know it all, we have decided to abandon the sinking ship to support Oshiomhole in his on going developmental projects across the three senatorial districts of the state”.

Addressing the mammoth crowd, Governor Oshiomhole stressed that the governorship campaigns will be based on issues, just as he accused the PDP in the state of plotting violence because “they have no report card to show to Edo people”.
