Two tickets are up for grabs as the South-South qualifying matches of the on-going Gulder Five-A-Side Football competition kicked off in Port-Harcourt, Rivers State Friday.
The event, which is holding at the Liberation Stadium of the Garden City and ends tomorrow, will see the best two teams clinching the tickets for the knockout stages of the competition in Lagos.
The two qualifiers from the zone will join Supremes FC and Gidan Bege FC, from the North-Central Zone and Ultimate FC and Etienne FC from the South East Zone.
According to Tony Agenmonmen, Marketing Manager (Lager), Nigerian Breweries Plc., the Gulder Five -A-side Football Competition is a unique opportunity for grassroots football talents to display their skills.
“The unique thing about this competition is that it affords football lovers and enthusiasts from the grassroots the opportunity to showcase their skills. The truth is that not all of our local talents have the opportunity to feature in club sides across the country.
That is why this competition is important. That is the reason why you see so many of our budding talents trooping out for the competition,” he said.
